I think Tapco should look into developing a Red Laminate stock set that features the wood grain (as seen in the black and brown laminate) for the AK variants. On top of that, include lightning buts and butt stock pads for all of the available options.
The russian red looks good, but would be insane if it had that wood grain. What do you think?
up there with all the other system’s. iv seen filler’s for the sks so you don’t need a duckbill but then your stuck buying their magazine’s which might not be any good and their 45 rounder’s to which is dumb cus 30 is perfect it’s the standard anything over in my opinion you might as well get a 100 round drum instead lol but just thought i’d throw that out there.
like ppl that want a defensive carbine that’s cheap that they can hunt with defend the home with pretty much do any task they need it to do with out getting ripped off buying a wasr or some parts bin gun. sks is cheap can get them for 250 some time’s lower and then if they want more out of their rifle they can save up and buy a tapco stock and grip and mag’s rather than spending 700 or so on a sgl21 money they don’t have. but if you could bump the mags up to 30 rounders then it would be like
tapco should really make a 30 round sks mag with out duckbill’s, they could make a 2ed generation sks stock with a flller in it or something so they wouldn’t need that thing hanging off the mag no more cus they don’t fit in mag pouchs all that well if at all and i would assume you wouldn’t be able to fit as many in a dump pouch cus of it’s odd shape. but if they fixed that they would really turn the sks into a poor man’s ak47. i’d buy it im sure lot’s of other ppl would to.
@daneinskeep He said “early March”. Though they don’t appear to be out just yet, I notice the Tapco website is already referring to the current model as “Gen I”.
Much as I like Tapco, I’d love to see them do some steel reinforcements on their AK and Galil magazines. I’ve also suggested to them that they look into Saiga .308 mags. Tapco seems like they are always just a hair’s breadth from turning GRP into gold the way Magpul seems to.
What would be a good ak?
Tapco really does have excellent customer service, they responded really quickly to suggestion i had and gave contact info, It really makes feel good about buying products from a company that is so open to feed back.
